Lyric tenor Jeremy Blossey enjoys an international operatic career that has taken him all over North America, Asia, Europe and the Pacific. His career has included performances of over 50 roles, recently including the title roles in Werther and Don Carlo, Don Jose in Carmen, Don Alvaro in La forza del destino, Manrico in Il Trovatore, Rodolfo in La Boheme, Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly, Nemorino in L’elisir d’amore, Camille in The Merry Widow, The Governor in Candide, Alfredo in La Traviata, Male Chorus in Rape of Lucretia, Frederic in Pirates of Penzance, Alfred in Die Fledermaus, Sam Polk in Susannah, Sam Kaplan in Street Scene, Pirelli in Sweeney Todd, and Romeo in Romeo et Juliette. Recent appearances include roles with Opera de Quebec, Hawaii Opera Theatre, Opera Delaware, Baltimore Concert Opera, Shreveport Opera, Opera Hamilton, Opera on the Avalon, IVAI Tel Aviv, and Opera Cleveland.
Recent highlighted perfomances included a week-long collaboration with legendary American composer Carlisle Floyd, interpreting the role of Sam Polk in Susannah, which was followed by a perfomance of the role in the opera’s Israeli debut.
On the concert stage, Mr. Blossey most recently appeared as tenor soloist in concerts at Teatro Real and the Auditorio Nacionale in Madrid. Other recent solo engagements include concerts at the Israeli Opera House and the Opera House in Aschaffenburg, Germany, Haydn’s Creation at the Great Auditorium at Ocean Grove, NJ, the Verdi Requiem with the Plainfield Symphony and the Theater Chamber Players at the renowned Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. Earlier appearances include tenor solos in the Messiah with the U.S. Naval Academy and Serenade to Music by Vaughan Williams with the Honolulu Symphony. Jeremy also appeared onstage with 6-time Grammy award winning band The Chieftains at the McCarter Theater in Princeton, N.J.
Upcoming engagements include a role debut as Nemorino at the Heartland Opera Theater and an engagement at Quisisana Resort in Lovell, ME.
