Over the past 20 years Michel Corbeil has firmly established himself as one of Canada’s most versatile character tenors with his highly praised acting, impressive comedic timing, and audacious, physical stage-antics. His most notable roles include: Der Hauptmann in Wozzeck, Goro in Madama Butterfly, Nick in La Fanciulla del West, Pong in Turandot, Don Basilio in Le Nozze di Figaro, Tobias in Sweeney Todd, Sellem in The Rake’s Progress, Little Bat in Susannah, Monostatos in Die Zauberflöte, Bardolfo in Falstaff, and Jews 1 &2 in Salome.

Originally from Montréal, and an alumnus of l’Atelier Lyrique de L’Opéra de Montréal, Michel recently earned the rank of crossover artist with the launch of his self produced, début CD, LEAVE IT ALL BEHIND.
